The 2019 KCB Autocross season started in a dramatic fashion at the TGVR track in Mai Mahiu on Sunday as Tsorav Soni won the newly introduced Peewee class.

Soni finished ahead of ahead of Kiana Rajput, while Illiyun Mughal beat Yuvraj Rajput after clocking 11:12:58 to grab the Bambino class.

The 2WD non-Turbo class had four competitors in a battle that saw Zameer Verjee crowned the winner after clocking 07:50:34 ahead of the 2018 champion Sameer Nanji, and Rajveer Thethy and Sahir Mughal.

 Kunal Bimal Patel beat seasoned Imran Hakada and Shaz Ismail in the 2wd turbo. But Hakada got revenge by winning the open class clocking 07:50:07 ahead of Shalien Mughal and Kirit Rajput.

The 4WD Turbo competition saw Sahib Omar win ahead of Jackson Wandeto.

Twenty-two competitors competed in the event as the championship battle picks momentum.

 Winners were feted by KCB Njabini branch manager Steve Wafula who lauded the drivers for the brilliant outing.

KCB has injected Sh5 million to continue as title sponsors for the 2019 season.

Meanwhile, Nakuru will host the first round of the KCB National Rally championship that is set to kick off this weekend.
