Two AFC Leopards fans were arrested and a match official left nursing injuries during a Kenyan Premier League match between AFC Leopards and Ulinzi Stars at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Sunday.

An assistant referee was hit by a projectile thrown from the stands after AFC Leopard, but the culprits were apprehended by a section of civilised Ingwe fans and handed over to the police.

The incident led to 10 minutes stoppage late into the second half but Ingwe could not find their act together even after the short breather when they were handed a fifth straight defeat.

Ulinzi only goal was scored early in the first half by Dan Waweru.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia beat Sofapaka by a solitary goal to move within a point with second-placed Mathare United who played a 0-0 draw with Zoo FC away in Kericho.

Former Ulinzi Stars forward Samuel Onyango scored K’Ogalo’s lone goal at the Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium.

For Franci Kimanzi’s  Mathare, they will have to wait for the round of 15 matches to come up with a formula of ending a five-match winless run.

In the other matches played on Sunday, Western Stima moved fifth on the log following a 2-1 win over Mount Kenya United while Posta Rangers picked their third win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Vihiga United.

Sony Sugar meanwhile downed KCB by the same margin scoreline in Machakos.

Ken Mutembei hit the lone goal for with Robert Achema’s sixth-minute strike proving the difference for the Millers at the Kenyatta Stadium
