Gor Mahia’s dream of winning a double this season was shattered on Wednesday after losing to Bandari in the SportPesa Shield Cup match.

The match went to penalty shootout after the two teams settled for a 1-1 draw at regular time, but K’Ogalo were not lucky from the spot.

Dennis Oliech had cancelled out a William Wadri’s opener, but Gor were eliminated after failing to convert some of their penalties.

Meanwhile, Mathare United are officially out of the Kenyan Premier League title race after they went down 2-1 in the hands of Sony Sugar at Kasarani.

But Enock Agwanda hit the match winner with a solid header in the 34th minute to secure three points for his side.

The loss left the ‘Slum Boys’ with 35 points from 22 matches.

In the other matches played on Wednesday, Ulinzi Stars settled for a 0-0 draw against Sofapaka same as Chemelil Sugar, who were held by visitors Posta Rangers.
