Reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Bantamweight champion Fatuma Zarika will once again camp in the United Kingdom ahead of a rematch bout with Zambia’s Catherine Phiri slated for March 23, 2019 in Nairobi.

Zarika left the country on Tuesday night for the UK where she will pitch camp until March 16 under the close supervision of British coach Tony Bellew.

Zarika will once again have the home advantage when she takes to the ring against the Zambian opponent whom she last fought in Kenya on December 2, 2017.

The match will also feature celebrated Tanzanian Super Welterweight boxer Hassan Mwakinyo.

“My previous match against Catherine was hard, so I expect a tougher match this time around,” said Zarika.

Just like Zarika, Mwakinyo, Africa’s number one Super Welterweight boxer, will also camp in the UK and will be trained by a different set of trainers within the same gym in Liverpool.

Mwakinyo’s opponent will be determined later.

Mwakinyo who is ranked 16th globally by the World Boxing Council has had an impressive record featuring 10 knockouts in the 16 professional matches he has fought so far in his career.
