Kenya rugby player Kairu Kagi has passed on in the United Kingdom.

Kagia, a former Nakuru Top Fry player who also played for London side Littlemore RFC in Oxford, died last Sunday under unclear circumstances.

“It is with sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of one of our players. Kairu Kagia, known as ‘KK’ will be hugely missed by all at Littlemore RFC, and we offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends at this sad time,” the London side confirmed Kagia’s death in a statement.

Just a week before his demise, Kagia was seen at Littlemore’s grounds in a jovial mood cheering the squad.

“With some of the squad away due to injury or other commitments, we were unable to get everyone together for the 2018/19 squad picture. Those that made it, stand proud together, having faced some tough times this season,” the statement further read.

Kagia, who is described as a selfless player donated playing kits to Top fry in 2009.
