Dennis Oliech could make his SportPesa Cup debut for Gor Mahia on Wednesday.

The legendary striker has been included in the Gor’s squad that is set to kick off their cup defense on Wednesday when they face debutantes Mbao FC on Wednesday in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The former Auxerre and Al Arabi striker is among the five players expected to link up with the triumphant 18-man squad that booked K’Ogalo’s place in the money-spinning CAF Confederations Cup Group Stage on Sunday.

The Kenyan champions forced a 0-0 draw away against New Star to storm the last 16 for the second year running on a 2-1 aggregate.

But Oliech, who remained behind because he was not registered for the continental assignment by the time after penning a two-year deal with the record Kenyan champions, has been called up for the Tanzania assignment alongside  Captain Harun Shakava, Joash Onyango.

Shakava and Onyango also missed the trip to Cameroon as they were serving a two-match suspension by CAF.

Others who have been summoned to report to Dar es Salaam are former Zoo Kericho striker Nicholas Kipkirui and Geoffrey Ochieng.

K’Ogalo is expected to fly directly to Dar es Salaam from Limbe, Cameroon.

Gor Mahia, then under Dylan Ker successfully defended the annual regional tournament after beating Tanzanian giants Simba 2-0 at the Afraha Stadium.

Winner of the eight-team tournament will play English Premier League side Everton who will be making their second trip to Africa in three years.
