Five Gor Mahia players stare at a possibility of a first team chop should they be found guilty of ‘sabotage’.

A fuming Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has promised to crack the whip on ‘indiscipline players’.

The tension and bad relationship between the office and players escalated during the dramatic trip to Morocco where the last batch of K’Ogalo players arrived in Berkane just hours to kick off of the Caf Confederation Cup quarter-final match against host team Berkane.

At the Doha Airport, some Gor Mahia players such as Francis Kahata were pictured sleeping on the floor as they waited for a connecting flight to Marrakesh, leading to an uproar among club fans who accused the team management of mistreating players ahead of a serious match.

Before the first leg played two weeks ago, Gor players went on go-slow demanding unpaid bonuses.

Rachier has however dismissed the players, saying some of their demands are anchored in law.

“We will investigate the go-slow by and we will punish anyone found culpable, because allowances have no legal basis,” said the commercial lawyer.

Rachier, however, absolved the office from any blame ahead of the poorly arranged trip to Morocco that cost the team a place into the semi- final.

“If Gor Mahia officials failed in any way it’s because we could not raise the Sh8m needed for the travel arrangements,” Rachier added.

Those on the list include Kahata, Dennis Oliech, Harun Shakava and Goerge Odhiambo.
