It was almost a full house as Harambee Stars players reported to camp on Wednesday ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana on Saturday.

Led by Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Captain Victor Wanyama, the players had a light training session at Kasarani, Nairobi, for the first time ahead of the expected departure to Accra, Ghana on Thursday.

Out of the 24 players, only Belgium-based Johanna Omollo didn’t show up for training having arrived in the country on Tuesday morning.

Masoud Juma, who coach Sebastien Migne will be relying on in the absence of the injured lead striker Michael Olunga, also joined the team alongside late call-up Jesse Were who was on the score sheet in Zesco United’s win over Asante Kotoko in the Caf Confederation Cup last weekend.

Also presented is the new call up Christopher Mbamba and Spanish based Ismael Gonzales, who plies his trade with UD Las Palmas B, as well as first-choice goalkeeper Patrick Matasi who is based in Ethiopia with Saint George.

Kenya has already qualified for the continental showpiece set to kick off on June 19, 2019, in Egypt.

FKF has lined up a three-week camp in France ahead of the tournament.
