Kenyan international Ayub Timbe is set to return to full action at the end of April as he continues with a recovery process after a long-term injury layoff.

While keeping his fans updated on the progress of his injury, the Kenyan winger also hinted that he might return with a new team.

Timbe is currently based in China with Beijing Rhene. “Five more weeks until action,” the Harambee Stars winger posted on his Instagram.

Timbe is recovering from knee surgery after he underwent a successful operation in January.

Timbe however, might not make it to the Harambee Stars squad for the Africa Cup of Nations if his expected return split to May. Harambee Stars are expected to depart the country later in May for a two-week camp in France en route to Egypt for the June AFCON finals.

But before that, Kenya will have to take on Ghana in the final AFCON qualifying match on March 23 away in Accra.

Japan-based Striker Michael Olunga has also pulled out of the Ghana game with an injury.
