Paul Pogba has told supporters to keep the faith following Manchester United’s defeat against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tasted his first domestic defeat since arriving from Molde as caretaker manager as his side fell to a disappointing 2-0 loss at the Emirates.

Granit Xhaka gave Arsenal the lead through a speculative long-range effort which swerved wickedly in the air to leave David de Gea rooted in one side of goal, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled the lead through a controversial second-half spotkick.

Pogba was one of three changes to the United side for the match after he missed last week’s victory away at Paris Saint-Germain through suspension, along with Nemanja Matic and Diogo Dalot.

The France international has been in sensational form since Solskjaer took charge in December but was unable to influence the outcome of the game on Sunday afternoon.

Victory for Arsenal saw them move above United into fourth-place in the Premier League.

Pogba has sent supporters a defiant message as his side look to bounce back from defeat when they face Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend.

Taking to social media after the match Pogba tweeted a picture of himself and Ashley Young from the defeat along with the caption: “Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall,” followed by a fist emoji.
