The Kenya U-15 National teams have progressed to the quarter-final of the MIC football tournament in Spain after cruising to 2-0 win over Wastern FC on Thursday evening.

The junior stars beat the North American side in their final Group match at the Llagostera Grounds in Costa Brava, Spain, a first for the East African country in the tourney.

Teddy Sirma and Joseph Munala goals saw Kenya end a two-game winless run in the tournament that has brought together top academies across Europe and Asia.

The team lost 1-0 to Spanish side NT Terres before being thrashed 4-0 to yet another Spanish side Junior C.F in the subsequent match.

The team will wait for the Friday evening’s draw to know their next opponent in the quarters.
