Kenya Under 17 national team were held by visiting Uganda to a 0-0 draw in a friendly match played at the Utalii Grounds on Tuesday.

The junior Kenyan squad used the friendly as part of their preparation ahead of the upcoming Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF) U18 Tournament set to be played in Egypt between April 6, and April 10, 2019.

“This was one of the toughest matches we have played, which is good, as we are in for a tougher challenge in Egypt. I now have a clear picture of my final squad and I am confident that those who will make it to the team will give a good account of themselves,” Coach Michael Amenga said after the match.

Amenga and his charges are set to jet out to Alexandria on Thursday to take part in the four-nation tournament where they will face off with hosts Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria. Meanwhile, Uganda will be taking part in the Africa U17 Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
