National Super League (NSL) side Wazito have signed Ghanaian goalkeeper Michael Abu.

The former Asante Kotoko custodian completed a move to the former Kenyan Premier League side over the weekend as Ricardo Bardoer’s sponsored side strengthen their squad with the hopes of returning to the top tier next season.

Abu, 27, who has also turned up for Ebusua Dwarfs, is expected to make his debut in the Kenya’s second tier league in the coming days.

Abu is the third Ghanaian after Paul Acquah and Stephen Owusu to have signed with Wazito.

SPORTSNEWS AFRICA understands the contract will be extended beyond 2019 if Wazito secures KPL promotion at the end of the season.

Wazito blew up a chance to go top of the table after settling for a one-all draw with Shabana over the weekend. They are third on the log with just a point behind leaders Ushuru.
