Kenya’s Harambee Stars have landed in a relatively easy Group C in the 2019/21 CAF Nations League.

Stars will have to battle past Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger, Togo and Zimbabwe in the first edition of the Nations League.

The inaugural edition will run from August 2019 until August 2021, alongside with UEFA Nations League which kicked off September of last 2018 as well as the CONCACAF Nations League which set to roll off in September 2019.

Same as UEFA NL, the Nations League will be held in Classification Stages format of 4 Leagues A, B, C and D.

Group A has a record 12 led by Nigerian, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Senegal.

The other Group A members are Cape Verde, DR Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Mali and Tunisia with the winner set to play a Super Cup match against the winner of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Group B has eight teams including Benin, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia.

Kenya’s other group C members include Mauritania and Niger while Group D has Comoros, Ethiopia, Liberia, Libya, Malawi, Seychelles, Sierra Leone and Tanzania.
