Tusker FC have re-signed free agent Eugene Asike on the transfer deadline day. Asike left the Brewers at the end of the 2018 season for unsuccessful trials in Zambia.

Other big signings on the close of the day saw Nzoia Sugar sign Ugandan Paul Kibande from the National Super League side Kangemi All Stars.

Paul Were and Hashim Sempala’s moves to two of Kenya’s biggest clubs-AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia respectively, were the biggest transfer talks on the deadline day as the business of the mid-season came to a close on Monday midnight.

Were re-joined Ingwe from Greek Premier League while Ugandan utility player crossed over from the 2016 KPL champions, Tusker on the final day of the business.

Sempala is seen as a replacement of fellow Ugandan Khalid Aucho who left the Kenyan champions over four years ago as Hassan Oktay strengthens his midfield.

Blessed with speed, Were will surely add pace in Ingwe’s attack. Rwnadan coach Casa Mbungo has also signed Boniface Mukhekhe from Mount Kenya United while at the same time promoted Austine Odhiambo from the junior team-AFC Leopards Cubs to the senior  team on a three-year deal.
