Manchester United will be without Luke Shaw for their next  Premier League fixtures against West Ham and Everton over accumulated yellow cards.

The defender was booked during United’s match against Wolves after he brought down Diogo Jota outside the area after he had raced clear.

The challenge was needed to prevent Wolves going into a 2-1 lead, after Jota had cancelled out Scott McTominay’s opener for United.

Shaw will now receive a two-game suspension for picking up his tenth yellow card of the season, and he will miss the visit of West Ham on April 13 and the trip to Everton on April 21.

Frustratingly, had Shaw gone throughout the game at Molineux without getting booked, his previous nine yellow cards would have been wiped out as the deadline for the two-match suspension would have passed by the time United are next in Premier League action.
