Sony Sugar handed Bandari their second Kenyan Premier League defeat while Ulinzi Star denied Tusker what could have been a first win in four games following a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Tusker last won a league match on February 10; a slim 1-0 win over Zoo Kericho at the Kericho Green Stadium.

Robert Matano thought that the poor run of form will come to an end at home until Enosh Ochieng showed his predatory instincts with a second-half-equaliser in the 54th minute.

Sydney Ochieng had given the Brewers a 34th minute lead, but the Ulinzi forward scored his ninth goal of the season to help Dunstan Nyaudo snatch a point at the Ruaraka Grounds.

Away in Awendo, Sony Sugar copied what only Kakamega Homeboyz have managed to do this season when they handed the Dockers their second league defeat.

Sony’s two goals came in the second half to after Solomon Omollo put the Millers ahead just two minutes after the break before Derrick Otonga doubled the advantage with the 71st minute to win 2-0 at the Awendo Green Stadium.

The defeat was the third for Coach Bernard Mwalala since he moved to Mombasa from Nzoia Sugar in June 2018.

The defeat denied Bandari a chance to reclaim the top spot as they remained third on the log with 32 points, behind leaders Sofapaka and Gor Mahia.
