SportPesa Shield Cup defending champions Kariobangi Sharks will lock horns with giants’ slayers Bungoma Superstars in the quarter-finals of the knockout tournament.
Sharks, who beat AFL Leopards in the finals last season, will face Bungoma Superstars who eliminated both Ingwe and Sofapaka from the cup.
Both matches were decided in the penalty shootouts where Bungoma won against the top-tier opponents.
But the true grittiness of Western side will be put to test once again when they face the reigning champions on April 20 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The other quarter-finals will be an all-KPL clash as Bandari, who triumphed over Gor Mahia take on Western Stima while SS Assad will battle for a place into the semi-final against Congo United with Bidco taking on KPL outfit-KCB.
