Ghanaian Premier League champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko have rewarded their supporters with slashed entrance fee ahead of their Sunday’s cracker against Accra Hearts of Oak.
This move comes after the side were eliminated from the CAF Champions League by Burkina Faso club RC Kadiogo on Sunday in post match penalties after a 1-1 aggregate stalemate in regular time at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.
In a club statement released on Thursday, Kotoko are eager to bounce back to their winning ways and have come with reduced gate fees to woo their supporters to the stadium in masses on Sunday.
“Management of Asante Kotoko wish to express its profound gratitude to our fabulous supporters who turned up in their numbers to support us on Sunday,” the statement reads in part.
“Sadly the results did not go as we all expected but together we will surely bounce back victoriously. As a token of appreciation to our cherished fans ahead of our Super Clash.”
The Kotoko management have reduced the gate fees for the ‘Super Clash’ as follows;
Popular Stand GHc : 10.00
Center Line GHc : 20.00
Wings GHc : 30.00
VIP GHc : 50.00
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian giants will be out hunting for the first victory of the season in their particular opening fixture of the ongoing campaign.
On the other hand, Hearts of Oak started the new season on wrong footing after losing one match and drawing another in their two opening outings of the Ghanaian Premier League.
The two bitter rivals are separated by a point with Hearts of Oak placed 13th followed by Kotoko in 14th place on the table.
