Wazito FC coach Francis Kimanzi says he has no reason to be disappointed despite the 4-0 loss to Kariobangi Sharks in the first BetKing Premier League game of the season played last weekend.
It was a poor start for the Moneybags who had made several signings in anticipation of a good start to the season but the 44-year-old immediate former Harambee Stars coach says he will soon turn the tables around.
“It was a bad day for us but a good one for our opponents,” Kimanzi told SPORTS AFRICA.
“I can not say that I am disappointed with the result because we have not had time to prepare together.
“Prior to the game we had about three, four days which in real sense was not enough considering the fact that we have several new players as well as the entire technical bench.”
The tactician has pointed out where he needs to work on to ensure things change.
“Some players were desperate to prove to the new technical bench that they are good and for these reason, we did not have much needed team work,” Kimanzi noted.
“We will work on it hoping to have a better outcome in our next game.”
After suffering the heaviest defeat in match day one, the 2018/19 National Super League champions are at the bottom of the table.
