Moroccan forward Hakim Ziyech has termed the 4-4 draw between his new side and former team Ajax in the Champions League as a crazy game.
The African provided two assists in the game for the Netherlands side in a game the hosts came from three goals down in November 5, 2019. The result pushed Ajax to the Europa League with Chelsea advancing to the knock-out phase.
“It was a crazy game. If you were a neutral supporter it was a fantastic game,” the 27-year-old told Chelsea website.
“For us it was a little bit less because we were 4-1 up, but it was a crazy game. I think the neutral fans, that is why they like football, because of moments and games like this.”
Ziyech signed a five-year contract with the London-based side and started his solo training last weekend.
The highly rated winger watched from the standards as the Blues laboured to a 1-0 win against relegated Norwich City. He also stated the reason why he chose English Premier League over other top tier teams in the world like La Liga of Spain and Italy’s Serie A.
“When you are a young guy you always want to play for a big club, in the Premier League of course.”
