Kenyan Premier League Champions Gor Mahia have released Ugandan midfielder Hashim Sempala who joined K’Ogalo last season from Tusker FC.
Gor are also set to release Burundian Francis Mustapha on loan.
Coach Hassan Oktay was forced to make changes on his squad to create space in line with the KPL foreign quota system, following the arrival of Ghanaian Francis Afriyie.
Afriyie is the latest signing by K’Ogalo who have also secured the services of Ivorian Gislein Yikpe Gnamian.
Afriyie, 25, joined K’Ogalo from Mexican third tier side Murciélagos FC on undisclosed fee.
Afriyie, who last featured for his former side in March, scored two goals in nine games. He had five starts and four substitute appearances.
The Ghanaian was sent to Mexico on loan by Serbian side Vojvodina, which he joined from Bechem United (Ghana) where he scored only two goals in 10 appearances.
Oktay will be returning to the continental showpiece to have another stab at the CAF Champions League group stages.
K’Ogalo was knocked out at the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season.
