Striker Jacques Tuyisenge has sealed a move back to his native country with giants APR Rwanda.
The player has been a free agent after parting ways with Angolan top tier side Petro Atletico a couple of weeks ago.
While Yanga SC of Tanzania, Police FC of Rwanda and reportedly Azam FC were interested in his services, it was the 17-time Rwandese league champions who won the race to sign him.
“APR FC have officially announced the signing of Amavubi national team striker Jacques Tuyisenge, after his exit from Angola’s Petro Atlético de Luanda where he played for one year,” the Rwandan Premier League champions wrote on their official website.
“29-year-old Jacques Tuyisenge has performed well for local teams in Rwanda, at Etincelles FC, Kiyovu Sports, Police FC, and outside Rwanda at Gor Mahia FC and Angola’s Petro Atlético de Luanda. He has signed a two-year contract with the team.”
After helping Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia to three consecutive league titles, the striker left for Girabola a year ago where he turned out for Petro Atletico.
While at Gor Mahia, he managed to score 50 goals, since 2016, and was highly rated.
