Zambian side Nkana FC are on the verge of signing Gor Mahia captain Kenneth Muguna, SPORTS AFRICA understands.
The midfielder is unsettled at K’Ogalo thanks to the financial challenges faced by the club and the Kenyan Premier League at large.
A source close to the player intimated that the player is set to ditch the 18-time Kenyan Premier League champions for the South African outfit.
“Muguna is currently negotiating with Nkana and everything looks good, by the end of the week or early next week it will be finalized.
“To be honest, Muguna has enjoyed his time at Gor Mahia but sometimes when things are not working out, you have to look somewhere else. It is a sad state of affairs,” said the source.
If Muguna leaves, he will join the likes of Dickson Ambundo, David Mapigano, who is reportedly on his way to Azam FC, and Gnamien Yikpe who has joined Tanzania Mainland League giants Yanga SC.
Nkana have in the past raided K’Ogalo, signing the likes of Musa Mohammed and most recently Harun Shakava.
