Gor Mahia have snatched Ugandan utility player Hashim Sempala on the final day of the Kenyan Premier League mid-season transfer deadline day.
The former Tusker captain penned a two-year deal with the reigning Kenyan champions Monday midnight — the only signing by Hassan Oktay in the short term business season.
The Ugandan was among the players who fell out with coach Robert Matano that saw him warm the bench in the last couple of games before he made the decision to move.
The former BUL FC player has two major medals: the  KPL and the GOtv Shield Cup (now SportPesa Shield Cup), having led Tusker to a double in 2016 under Ugandan coach Paul Nkata.
He has also featured for both Uganda Revenue Authority and Express FC in his native country.
